B&C: Hi Doris, first of all, thank you for this interview. Can you explain to our readers what your position and role are at AOMEI Technology?
DL: Hello, I’m Doris Li, Marketing Specialist at AOMEI.


B&C: AOMEI Technology is not a well know company in Italy, despite an immense and excellent products portfolio. What are you doing to solve this lack? What do you expect from Italian market?
DL: We are adding Italian in our products, one of our software, AOMEI Partition Assistant already support Italian, and we will add Italian in our other software too, to support more languages. Besides, we are searching resellers in Italy, already have some.


B&C: AOMEI Technology is an important company, and your offices are located in numerous countries. What are your main customers? How much important are the OEM and Retail markets?
DL: Headquaters in China, and have many distributors and resellers around the world. Now AOMEI products are widely used all over the world, like USA, UK, China, Italy, France, Germany, Singapore, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, India, etc Many small and medium enterprises love our backup software to protect data, and many personal users like our products to optimize system. We attach great importance to Retail and OEM market, we valued our partners.


B&C: Which are the main users of your software, if you can tell us? When you develop and integrate a new feature in one of your software, do you take into account their opinions?
DL: Our Professional Edition software are mainly used for home and personal users who are mostly young people. Server and higher Editions software are mainly for business use. Our support team will collect users opinions, their advices and suggestions are much appreciated for us.


B&C: Continuing on that theme, how do you determine if a feature can be useful or not? Who are yours interlocutors about these features? Who are the beta testers? How much time takes the testing of these features?
DL: We will take users’ feedback and requirements into consideration, also combine the technical conditions. We have professional test team. The updating cycle is not fixed, we are constantly enriching and improving our products.


B&C: Today the Cloud Computing is a main topic, everywhere: in the forums, in the conferences, in the companies financial reports, etc. Some months ago, Jacques Lamontagne, Director of Product Management at WinZip, told us that WinZip will be founded more and more on Cloud services: “With one app, you can convert files on the fly, secure them quickly and easily, and share them regardless of size via email, social media, or the major cloud storage services. This provides a huge value to our users. Today, compression is just one of many features in WinZip. File sharing is now the core of the product”.  Do you think that you will integrate in your software some Cloud features, in the near future? For example, to upload automatically online a backup.
DL: Yes, we do have plan to develop cloud features, as well as the online backup service.


B&C: You have a lot of freeware products available to download. Are these useful to improve your sales?
DL: Yes, the freeware bring us many users, AOMEI is a freeware-based company, we strive to make 81% of the users free to use AOMEI’s products. Besides, thanks for a few users’ paid support, which allowed the company a good growth ever since.


B&C: In your site we can read: “Professional support team provides AOMEI OEM project partner with effective services to integrate our technologies and ensure customer satisfaction”. How much important is a good customer support in your business?
DL: Very important, customers first.


B&C: Last question, but not the least. Can you tell us something about your future projects? What's on your agenda?
DL: Focus on backup program: centralized management, cloud/online backup
