During these days a lot of news about Fiji are appearing everywhere, but about the low end Radeon 3xx series the rumors are quite. So, today we want to publish something new, and the source is AMD in first person.

If you have the latest driver of AMD, downloaded thanks to Windows Update, go to this directory: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. Then, using a file archiver, open the file named bbf512b7560005c063b4a3f82a624ca43b2016cc.

You will find these data:

AMD6810.2 = "AMD Radeon (TM) R7 300 Series (Engineering Sample - WDDM v2.0)"
AMD6811.2 = "AMD Radeon (TM) R7 300 Series (Engineering Sample - WDDM v2.0)"

Now we know that some R7 3xx cards will sport a Pitcairn GPU (GCN 1.0), but we don't know what models exactly (we suppose the cheaper models).

However, it's a pity, because this means that certain models will not support the newer interesting features: FreeSync, TrueAudio, VSR, etc.

Also we can find

AMD6610.2 = "AMD Radeon(TM) R7 350X" = R7 250 series
AMD6610.3 = "AMD Radeon(TM) R5 340X" = R7 250 series
AMD665F.1 = "AMD Radeon R9 360" = ?
AMD6660.1 = "AMD Radeon(TM) R5 M330" = HD 8600M series
AMD6660.2 = "AMD Radeon(TM) R5 M330"
AMD6660.3 = "AMD Radeon(TM) R5 M330"
AMD6778.8 = "AMD Radeon R5 310" = HD7000 series
AMD6811.1 = "AMD Radeon R9 370" = R9 200 series
