During these days, a voice is spreading rumors about the future specifications of next NVIDIA Titan cards.

At ChipHell Forum, the presumed specifications of the new Titan chip, the GP102, have been published. According to these data, the GP102 was developed specifically to fit the game market, as alternative to Enterprise-oriented GP100.

The GP102 will be an enhanced version of the GP104 (3840CC versus 2560CC). Also, it will lack DP units and with halve memory registers in respect to GP100. The IMC will support just GDDR5X (64 Bit x 6 = 384 Bit Bus), and it will be able to support up to 24GB of VRAM.

NVIDIA will not utilize an Interposer and the HBM in order to avoid high costs and production problems (At the present moment TSMC has some troubles …).

Probably, NVIDIA will show the new Titan when AMD's Vega will be ready to commercialization. Then, after some months, NVIDIA will show the cut-down GTX 1080Ti. Last, but non least, next Titan will be commercialized only with the reference PCB. NVIDIA's partners can use custom PCBs for the GTX 1080Ti.
